12 feet long. Keeper size is 42 to 60 inches.
Columbia
River Chinook/Coho (Astoria)
This region of Oregon has historically produced some of the most
exciting angling outside of Alaska. Fishing for Chinook and Coho
in the Lower Columbia begins August 1st and runs through September
15th. In the first part of the season there is a two fish limit,
of which only one can be a Chinook. Starting August 16th, the limit
per person bumps up to three fish, the one Chinook rule still applies.
The projected run for this year is over a million hatchery Coho
and 600,000 Chinook Salmon which should make for excellent fishing.
